The Golf Factory is a golf shop based in the North East. Their services range from selling new & used golf equipment, as well as buying used golf equipment for resale. Their ultimate goal is to become the no.1 choice golf shop in the area as well as growing their market share in the whole UK market. They are best known locally for their exceptionally high standards of quality in equipment and service, for affordable and competitive prices.

Starting from a relatively new and un-optimised website, our initial challenge was being able to push national keywords to improve their average position on a national level. Increasing traffic on the site was our top priority, as well as devising a transformative link building strategy to improve the domain’s offsite metrics.

We would also have to optimise the site for a new service the client wished to launch which was based around the purchasing of used clubs for the purpose of resale.


We carried out an onboarding process of optimising the page titles and meta descriptions, optimising pages for the appropriate national keywords to bring in traffic that complies with their business objectives.

We also created new landing pages for used club purchases which allowed us to target and attract a new audience which attributes to the increase of organic traffic YoY. A new two-step form was created on the page in order to filter through submitted clubs based on condition, brand and value.
