2015

Only The Beginning

In 2015, Digital NRG was at the beginning of what would be an incredible journey. With an SEO team of 2, a handful of account managers, no investment and only a ‘shoebox’ sized office, (not a garage sadly), the journey began. The objective, to be the market leader in delivering sales and leads to businesses and organisations using data to shape all decisions with unrivalled customer service.

2016

Incredible Growth - We Won Over 100 clients in ONE year!

2016 was a huge year for Digital NRG and the team won over 100 clients in just one year. We added several new key account managers, built the SEO team from two to eight people, the paid team from 2 to 6 people and created a web department! There was no such thing as a short day in 2016 but it was so much fun and we enjoyed our BIG startup business year. Learning everyday, seeking out good partners, working with many new clients and remaining flexible to adapt and shape to ensure we could deliver any solution to support our clients growth.

2017

Productivity, Creativity & Collaboration

As the business grew even further, the agency developed internal teams across all sectors of the business, adding even more talented members to the team. We saw opportunities to grow and develop and in turn increase the number of clients choosing Digital NRG as their digital partner.

Due to the team’s growth, we also decided it was time to relocate to a larger, more productive and creative space for the team to collaborate and learn different skills from one another. We invested heavily and turned an old Lloyds Bank office into our home, three floors or creative space which is still our home today.

2018

UK Expansion

2018 was an incredible year for Digital NRG and the team, seeing both business growth and internal development. We welcomed even more new SEO executives to the team whose skills helped to develop services further to help clients. We also welcomed more business development managers from London, Manchester, Newcastle, Wales, Kent and Birmingham, who worked with local businesses, helping to grow their businesses exponentially.

2019

Gear Change

2019 saw us expand the Digital NRG team even further. New relationships were forged with international clients and propositions saw further development & refinement. This was the year we welcomed our biggest clients to date with KPIs across departments continuing to improve with a retention rate to be extremely proud of. After 5 years we still boasted 94% client retention rates whilst winning new business and renewed our Google & META (then Facebook) EMEA Partnership agreements. New systems and IT infrastructure was invested in to support operations and ensure we could maintain the highest levels of customer care and results.

2020

Resilience & Adaptation

2020 was the year of adaptation and truly highlighted the amazing and committed people that we have working at Digital NRG. Covid impacted everybody and we lost nearly a quarter of our revenues in 3 months. Fear and panic kicked in. The teams all supported each other with Zoom calls and quizzes happening weekly to ensure all members of the team were supported. We set up a Business Resilience Hub, helping businesses through the challenging period. We ended 2020 with more clients, how? Supporting businesses with new and improved strategies to navigate the period as online searches, sales and leads grew quicker than any other 12-month period in history. We also had much to celebrate in 2020; Our internal teams were runners-up at both the UK Search Awards & UK Digital Growth Awards for a range of SEO, PPC and Paid Social awards.

2021

The Rebrand

2020 gave DNRG the opportunity to reflect, evolve and adapt. 2021 was a time to act on these reflections. As we strive to become the leading UK agency, we needed our brand to reflect this. The redesign of our logo and our website were a key element of 2021’s rebrand, and we’re delighted with the results.

We’ve introduced a multitude of new products designed to complement our current digital solutions including RapidTalk, NRG Connect and CRO. We also announced a number of partnerships, most notably Swansea FC and Yext, which have propelled DNRG into the forefront of digital leadership. With a number of new faces, some fantastic new clients and a clear vision of where we are heading, 2022 is going to be a huge year for the DNRG team.

Award-Winning Year & Bristol City F.C Sponsors

Success does not happen overnight and proven results are only proven when great results are consistent. The hard work the teams put in in 2020 and 2021 was recognised in 2022, when DNRG won its first major UK Search Award. DNRG also became the secondary kit sponsor for Bristol City F.C men's and women's team. As a Bristol-based business, it made complete sense to support one of our local clubs and join the thriving Lansdown Club Network. DNRG also launched Pied A DNRG, the option of working anywhere in the world for a month, our inaugural DNRG away days which is now an annual trip and fully adopted a new WFO/WFH policy to support its team for a better work-life balance.

2023

Socially The Best

In 2023, DNRG grew to a team of 38, and with that came an even stronger sense of connection. From day-to-day support to team socials and shared wins, the culture continued to grow into something people genuinely enjoy being part of. It was also a year where the work spoke for itself. We were proud to be named winners at both the Global Social Media Awards and the UK Search Awards. More than anything, those moments reflected the steady creativity, effort and teamwork that happens every day behind the scenes. It was a real reminder that when we work well together, it shows; Both in the results and in how it feels to be part of the journey.

Multi Award Winning Year

2024 saw the highest number of changes in a single year at DNRG. We added 8 new products and platforms to our portfolio. Became Shopify, Klaviyo and Pinterest Partners, won two of the biggest awards in the industry and recruited heavily to build a squad to support the next ten years of growth.

Ten Years Old and Still Growing

Nothing better than a 10 year anniversary to reflect and adapt. When you finish the previous year with two leading industry gongs, maybe you should stick to what works? DNRG could never do that, this is digital marketing and nothing stands still especially if you want to lead. Four new experienced team members by March, winning some of our biggest clients to date, a focus on events, agency branding and making our proposition clearer than ever before.
